World Tour Breaks Ground on 16-Bay Toptracer Range
Ground has been broken on a project that will bring one of golf’s most modern amenities to a course that is renowned for celebrating the game’s rich history.
World Tour Golf Links has begun construction on a new 16-bay Toptracer Range, scheduled to open in April. The installation will feature covered hitting bays equipped with Toptracer’s advanced ball-tracking technology, creating an interactive, data-driven experience at one of Myrtle Beach’s most recognizable daily-fee facilities.
As the official ball-tracing technology of TGL, Toptracer delivers the same shot-tracking data used by elite players around the world. Golfers at World Tour will be able to see real-time information on distance, ball speed, launch angle and shot shape, turning every practice session into a meaningful opportunity to learn more about their game.
But the Toptracer Range experience at World Tour will go beyond practice.
Toptracer will transform the driving range into an entertainment destination, allowing players to compete in closest-to-the-pin contests, play virtual rounds, or challenge friends to interactive games. Whether golfers are warming up before a round or spending an evening competing with friends, Toptracer brings a new level of energy to World Tour.
The new range will also expand opportunities for instruction and player development. Beginners can be introduced to the game in a relaxed environment, junior golfers can track progress as they develop their skills, and World Tour’s instructors will have powerful new tools to enhance lessons and player improvement programs.
From focused practice sessions to birthday parties and corporate outings, the Toptracer Range at World Tour will create a vibrant new gathering place for golfers and non-golfers alike — adding a modern, social dimension to the Myrtle Beach golf scene.
World Tour’s layout is inspired by some of golf’s most acclaimed courses, allowing golfers to enjoy a taste of layouts they will likely never be able to play. From the Swilcan Bridge in St. Andrews to Amen Corner at Augusta National, World Tour is home to 18 holes that emulate the game’s most iconic challenges.
