2024 Spring Match Play Rules
Thank you for signing up for our first Honors Match Play Championship!
This will be a FUN EVENT! Please don’t take it too seriously or get carried away with the rules.
The following information will apply for each match:
• Brackets are attached. Seeding was done by random drawing.
• Standard Match Play Rules Apply
• First round matches may be played any time (based on availability) but must be completed by March 15, 2024. If you are unable to complete your match by the deadline, it will result in a forfeiture.
• Use the contact information to connect with your opponent.
– Mutually decide which course / date / time you prefer to play your match.
– Designate one person to arrange the tee time. You can make your tee times online through the Honors website within the normal booking restrictions. OR for this event only you may email your requested course / date / time information to matchplay@foundersgolf.com and we will book your tee times up to 7 days in advance. We will try to get you a tee time as close to your preferred time / course as we can. We will email you with your booked tee time information.
– Competitors must pay the Honors rate at the course and points will be awarded as always.
• Each participant will play from their “normal” tee.
• You will use your handicap as it is displayed on the day of play.
• Prior to play, players should agree upon conditions of play, i.e. preferred lies, teeing order (honors), etc…
• All putts conceded are good. If the player putts and misses after the putt has been conceded the putt is still good.
• If you have a rules question, please reference the USGA Rules & Clarification web site. If you cannot resolve the question, play two balls and consult the course’s professional staff.
• Immediately following your match, designate one player to e-mail the results to matchplay@foundersgolf.com
• When all matches have been completed, we will provide the next round’s brackets / pairings.
• PRIZES: The final eight players will receive gift card prizes. The overall champion will receive a free Honors renewal and an Honors Match Play trophy.
