The Palmetto course has been a Myrtle Beach favorite since opening in the early 1970s. This classic design reflects the typical Lowcountry flavor and beckons to the more casual relaxed manner so symbolic of the South Carolina coast. The golf course, with its superbly-maintained, Sunday Ultradwarf Bermuda grass greens and Bermuda fairways, will challenge any skill level. This is a course is consistently well kept and the views of the Intracoastal waterway make the experience even more dramatic.

Palmetto was better than I remembered, having last played in 2015. Very playable layout and in great shape.

Enjoyable. Speed of play was a real issue.

Great Layout - Great Greens - VERY Slow Play

Myrtlewood Palmetto was the second course I played in Myrtle Beach. Really nice layout and the course was in overall good condition. The greens were more challenging and difficult compared to another course I played. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Basically the only thing we didn't like is there wasn't any course map on scorecard or hole layouts on signage at tee boxes. We had never played the course before so we were unfamiliar with hazards and some specific layouts.

Great way to end our trip, everyone was friendly and the finishing hole along the intercoastal was awesome.

Played the palmetto course the other day, totally disappointed in the amount of golfers on the course let alone the $80.on to play. From the time we teed off on number 1 it was hit and wait on every shot. When we reached number 17 tee box there were three groups waiting to tee off ,that was enough to make leave the course with no intention of returning. You can play a lot of other courses in MB for far less than $80.00 ,it time to move on.

Fun course, nice staff and was a great location from where we were staying in Myrtle Beach less than a 10 minute drive

Good course and in very good condition. Still get some of the traditional feel of Myrtle Beach golf, but in much better condition than most of the older courses. One of my favorite places to play.

Played this course twice during our vacation. We were matched up with another couple both times and enjoyed the company. We were comparable skill levels which made play fun and relaxing.
