Great golf courses are often described as where the holes become etched in your memory. Long Bay Club is such a course.
The Long Bay Club is a magnificent Jack Nicklaus Signature Course that is consistently ranked among the top courses in the state. This is not a typical Nicklaus design; deep pot bunkers and vast waste areas add a unique identity and challenge.
Considered one of the most difficult golf courses on the Grand Strand, this Jack Nicklaus-designed masterpiece was built to challenge even the most adroit golfer. Formidable in every feature, Long Bay displays countless large man-made mounds, a demanding 137 slope from the championship tees (127 from the ladies), handsome but deceiving par-3 holes and bottomless bunkers.
With a beautiful clubhouse, and a fully stocked pro shop, grill and immense practice area, Long Bay is a place you can spend the whole day at and enjoy a wide array of golf experiences.
Some of the holes at Long Bay have become some of the most recognized in golf. Long Bay Club was awarded 4.5 STARS by Golf Digest’s “Places to Play” in 2006.

Course was great. The pin positions were quite challenging the day we played, but thats golf.

Nice course. Ive probably played it a dozen times over the past twenty years so Im familiar with the course. It was in good shape some bare spots in the greens which I have come to expect during summer months. We were the first group out and played in just over 4 hours so pace of play was good.

Super fast and overly hard greens. Could not get a ball to check up.

A fun course that is worth experiencing. The course design stands apart from others in the area. Course conditions were quite good overall. The new greens that were renovated over the last few months were in reasonable shape but a number of putts turned away from the cup at the last minute rather inexplicably. The best part of our round was the very friendly and relaxed staff, including at the bag drop. in the pro shop. the starter, and the ranger! Each one of those folks made us feel welcomed and they were focused on helping us enjoy our day. We found the front nine significantly easier than the back nine. We were happy to conclude our outing with a photo of our threesome with the statue of Jack

An amazing golf course, beautifully manicured, and greens have all been redone and are perfect.
